See the right hand side for remind messages and upcoming events. Please return and check in often as we’re making additions regularly.  Please click on any of messages below to read messages and write an email response to our webpage should you want to. Most cadet information can be found under Cadet Resources. Look under Events for what’s coming up, and what we’ve been busy doing! Personal information for cadets can be found in our Edmodo file repository. All cadets need only ask at the ship for login/sign up information.

Admiral Nelles has moved to a hybrid model. With IN PERSON Training at the ship and online Learning Via Teams

  • Our program has established a new routine with the resumption of in person training at our ship. In order to crawl, walk, run to a fully run program with all attending we have divided the ship’s company into two cohorts – PORT & STARBOARD WATCHES.

  • Half of the ships company will attend in person training one week while the other half engages from home via Microsoft Teams Meetings. Alternating each week, so as to attend in person every other week. Engaging virtually every other off week.

  • Our program nights have shifted in order to put as much time between interaction between watches with the officer staff.

  • We will now parade Wednesday evenings for our teams/optional training IN PERSON ONLY – NO VIRTUAL TRAINING 19:00hrs to 20:45hrs (7:00pm to 8:45pm)

  • We will continue to parade Thursday evenings for Mandatory Training – VIRTUAL TRAINING will run concurrently. (In person arrive for 7pm, online begins at 7:15pm, but login early classes wrap by 8:30pm virtually and in person cadets will depart by 8:45pm)

  • As the ship is a meeting place as designated by BCHU, all attendees must provide proof of vaccinations, and daily online screening upon arrival. All cadets must also wear a face mask when in attendance as well, along with maintaining 6 feet distance with ship mates as best as possible.

  • If you are unwell in anyway, or happen to be unvaccinated please stay home, but feel free to join us virtually if able or well enough to do so.

  • Please check the calendar for your in person attendance for your watch each week, if needed look to Edmodo to view the list of personnel in each watch if you forget which you are apart of.

A big thank you to Krown Rust Control of Brantford for their recent donation to our program. During this pandemic it has not been easy for local and small businesses. It has also been significantly hard on non profit groups given their methods for collecting donations have been restricted. There contribution will help us continue to acquire materials required to run our program.
