Annual Ceremonial Review (ACR)
June 8 @ 07:45 - 18:00
Annual Inspection is the day that culminates the years training, when your cadet gets to demonstrate what they’ve learned and how they have progressed over the year. To start, a guest will inspect the cadets prior to a march past. Following this, the cadets demonstrate through kinetic displays skills and abilities they have acquired or honed over the year. Information about the program and things they have learned is also presented on static display boards that the cadets prepare themselves.
Following the displays, the major awards for the unit are presented. After awards and speeches have been made a spread of food is put out afterwards, food is courtesy of donations from cadets/parents etc.
Major awards presented at Annual Inspection are the
- Captains Award
- Most Seamanlike Award
- Any provincial honours/medals if any are eligible, worthy, or qualify
The other awards, like the academic awards are presented on our, Thursday training night following annual inspection.
Cadets will arrive early in the day for last minute preparations and rehearsal with parents/guests arriving later on in the afternoon. All family, friends etc. are welcome to attend and view this special occasion.
